Trade
The wholesale and retail trade sector represents one of the most significant sectors of the Montenegrin economy, particularly given its consistently largest individual share in gross value added, which in recent years has been around 14%, as well as the fact that more than one-third of employees in private companies work in this sector.
In 2024, turnover in domestic trade amounted to EUR 2.5 billion, representing an 11% increase compared to the previous year.
